This Man Went Hunting With His Dog And Was Shocked By What Happened

Dogs are man’s best friend...

 and we do everything with them: we take them on hikes, go shopping with them, even head out to the DMV with them as our companions. When one dog-owner decided to take his dog, Klara, on a hunting trip, both he and the dog were in for an unexpected surprise.

Klara The Swedish Elkhound

Klara is a 4-year-old Swedish elkhound and her owner, Tommy, always takes her on his hunting trips. Tommy usually attaches a GoPro camera onto Klara so that he can watch each trip from her perspective. This time around Tommy and Klara were out on a moose-hunting trip…

During the hunting trip, Klara gets away from her owner and finds herself alone in the middle of the woods. She’s on the lookout for a moose she can chase down, but then things start to turn on her.

An Unexpected PredatorSuddenly a wolf steps out in front of Klara’s path and the two animals have a standoff. It’s now clear that things are not going to go well.

Facing Off

As Klara gets closer to the wolf, the two animals stare each other down, reminiscent from something out of an old Western movie.

Once the wolf is next to Klara, it sniffs at her, as if trying to get familiar with the dog. So far it’s not clear what the wolf, or Klara, intends to do next.

A Second Wolf Emerges

As the wolf continues to circle Klara, the GoPro footage starts to show that there is a second wolf emerging onto the scene. This can’t be good for Klara.

The Chase Is On

Now that Klara is clearly outnumbered, the wolves come after her and slam into her with force. Klara is able to muster up some energy and she starts running as the wolves chase her.

Scary Situation

As Klara frantically runs through the woods, it sometimes becomes difficult to make out anything in the GoPro footage. Suddenly there’s a loud thud and the screen goes blank.

In a matter of seconds the camera comes back on and we see a wolf closing in on Klara once again.

The wolves take turns snarling at and terrorizing Klara and she tries desperately to get away but she’s cornered.

All in all, Klara is lucky to be alive and the video has resulted in some people having sympathy for her, while others have said that they don’t feel sorry for her or Tommy since they headed out with the intention of killing an animal.
